Mary will work for governmental accountability, to ensure clean water, and in support of programs to reduce polluted urban and agricultural run-offs into waterways, wetland and aquifers.  She is very active in her community as a volunteer for COPS NW, member of the Spokane Enological Society board and a Democratic Party PCO and officer.

Tom believes it is essential that we maintain a high level of service.  Not only is it the right thing to do for our families and neighbors, professional fire protection keeps insurance premiums in check. Adequate fire protection helps attract new business and keeps local businesses in the district. 

Tom recognizes that it is the Commissioners’ job to be good stewards of public funds.  These challenging economic times require that every dollar spent is spent wisely.

Deana is a concerned parent of two children attending schools in our district and an experienced educator with 12 years teaching and mentoring in secondary classrooms. 

Deana wants to see to it that

• Our public schools provide equal opportunity for all students to reach their full potential.
• Students and educators must receive the support and tools necessary to succeed and must strive to reach the highest standards.
• All stakeholders in our community (parents, educators, business members, etc.) be able to participate collaboratively as the success of our district depends upon it.
